British Man Undergoes Voluntary Chemical Castration To Avoid Rape and Killing Fantasies

A British man has undergone voluntary chemical castration in order to avoid his fantasies of raping and killing women. The medical procedure of chemical castration reduces the sex drive in men by using certain hormones.

Steve (name changed) first started to fantasise about raping and killing women in his early twenties.  

In conversation with the hosts of ITV's 'This Morning Crime Week' Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield, Steve claimed he decided to undergo this surgery after he started seeking out women as he drove around in his car and started planning for the 'perfect crime', which fortunately never worked. He never harmed women, reports International Business Times.

"It started with me cheating on my then partner, this led to me looking online to meet people and everything progressed from there. The sex became more boring over time so I started looking for more extreme methods. I enjoyed the challenge of meeting someone online and seeing how fast I could get them in to bed. It progressed to being more violent and then the fantasies of sexual assault and rape started and then I thought of killing the women I was sleeping with," Steve was quoted as saying in Daily Mail.

In order to avoid these horrifying fantasies Steve decided to seek help from Canada sex expert Dr. Fedoroff, who suggested he undergo chemical castration and counselling in order to decrease the sex drive.

One of his darkest fantasies was when he was at the point of killing someone. He planned for an outing and decided to kill the woman he was going out with. He purchased tools and hid it in the trunk of his car. But he never harmed the woman after talking to her.

According to his therapist, the reason why Steve never committed the crime that night was because he started to know the person once they got into a conversation.

Steve says he learnt from his therapist that he cannot think of harming people who he knew personally, and so never harmed his girlfriend. 

The removal of his sex drive made Steve a lot more comfortable. He no more thinks of committing any heinous crime like rape or murder, and has not had sex for a year and a half. He believes that he has more control of himself after undergoing the procedure.
