Adult Star Tests Positive for HIV: Sex Industry to Blame?

It might look all like fun and games in the porn vids but some serious stuff could be going on behind the scenes of the Astroglidey view coming on your computer screen.

In fact, according to recent news from the porn industry, after a porn actor tested positive for HIV, the adult film industry momentarily halted their production sets in the hopes of slapping some condoms on the adult actors.

The Free Speech Coalition confirmed the HIV case, a national trade association for the porn industry. When the coalition announced the news regarding the HIV case, they didn't provide any information regarding the discovery or how the HIV-positive male actor had been affected. However, they did call a moratorium on all porn productions and stated their intentions to work with the Adult Production Health and Safety Services (APHSS) in order to better control the situation. They are also testing fellow actors who came into contact with the actor. 

"[We will] contact and treat performers for any possible exposure involving the primary patient," the coalition stated.

Human immunodeficiency virus, or HIV, is the virus that causes AIDS. HIV/AIDS weakens a person's ability to fight infections. It is contracted through unprotected sex or needle sharing. An HIV test confirms diagnosis. Medications may suppress the virus and delay the onset of AIDS, according to WebMD.
