"No Man's Sky" is one of the most popular games these days, but would you play it if it's supported by Virtual Reality? Sean Murray, founder of Hello Games, said that he thinks the game and VR would be a perfect fit -- it can make galactic exploration possible! In games, at least.

Speaking with IGN, Murray said that it's a huge opportunity -- the game itself already has intense moments, but being able to find a planet and find a way to see it on VR, then it's going to be incredibly cool.

VR has been talked about a lot, but right now, it is a very limited tech available for few devices, and the ones on the market has made the headsets a sort of nevelty item. However, Murray hopes the future of the VR market would expand past that so that the tech can grow.

He also mentioned that VR could get mainstream success if there's a killer app, like Wii Sports and Mario Kart Wii that can help widen the reach of the hardware, similar to how the games helped move millions of Wii units throughout its lifespan. Saga Genesis, for instance, also became a legitimate competitor in console gaming through "Sonic the Hedgehog" or Xbox with "Halo."

Cinema Blend noted that it would be great if "No Man's Sky" can do the same thing for VR, and with the game already available for PC and PS4, it is not an impossibility. If "No Man's Sky" has strong initial sales, then VR makers should consider funding Hello Games for a VR-ready rendition of one of the most epic things in console gaming.
