Recently, Hello Games announced that the release date of the highly anticipated sci-fi space exploration game "No Man's Sky" has been scheduled in August.

Hello Games' Sean Murray announced the news on the Playstation blog, which read "as we approached our final deadlines, we realized that some key moments needed extra polish to bring them up to our standards. I have had to make the tough choice to delay the game for a few weeks to allow us to deliver something special."

It was revealed that "No Man's Sky" will launch in North America on August 9, in Europe August 10, and in the UK August 12.

However, some false rumors claimed that the game's release date has been delayed further to happen in December.

"An official email from Sony PlayStation indicated another delay saying the game will be released on or before December 31. However, developer Sean Murray assured fans that the game's August release is still on track, though fans are dubious about it after receiving the email," reported The Bitbag.

We advise our readers to take the rumor with a grain of salt as nothing yet has been officially announced by the game developers. We hope "No Man's Sky" doesn't get delayed any further and maintain its August release date.

In related news, UK gamers will now be able to enjoy the game at the same time as the rest of Europe as the game will now be released on August 10 instead of August 12. The confirmation came from PlayStation UK's official Twitter account which announced that the release date for the game in the UK has been pushed forward by two days.

"No Man's Sky" was initially announced at the VGX 2013 gaming conference. Sony also mentioned about the sci-fi space exploration game during its press event at the E3 2014. It was then completely revealed during the same event next year.
