While, Rockstar Games is keeping mum about the next installment of the popular "Grand Theft Auto" franchise, tentatively titled "Grand Theft Auto 6," rumors about the game's release date, gameplay and location are piling up.

Previous reports claimed that the game might feature a London based map. However, new reports suggest otherwise. GTA5Cheats reported that "Grand Theft Auto 6" has added a new San Diego map into the game. It is assumed that San Diego would be an appropriate fit for the smuggling storyline that the game developer is planning to bring in to "Grand Theft Auto 6."

Rumors of GTA 6's London plot sparked after Rockstar co-founder, Dan Houser, hinted in an interview that they are interested in taking "Grand Theft Auto 6" outside the U.S. In fact, in the past, the gaming studio had also revealed that they would like to create a GTA game with all previous cities from the series. It remains to be seen whether the game will make it to London this time or will stay inside the US borders.

Among other rumors, the "GTA 5" follow up is expected to feature a female protagonist, which will be voiced by Hollywood star Eva Mendes. Mendes's real-life partner Ryan Gosling is also rumored to voice one of the game's male characters.

As far as "Grand Theft Auto 6" release date is concerned, it is rumored that the game might get a launch sometime between 2018 and 2020. The gaming studio has maintained a five-year-gap trend between its GTA releases. While "GTA 4" was released in 2008, the "GTA 5" game was launched in 2013. If the same trend is followed, fans can expect the highly anticipated "GTA 6" to get released in 2018, which is five years after 2013. There are also chances that the gaming studio might release the sixth installment of the game in 2020.

We advise our readers to take the information with a big grain of salt as nothing yet has been officially confirmed by the developers.
