‘The Elder Scrolls 6’ Release Date, Latest News, Update: Game Launch Unlikely Until 2019?

It seems "Elder Scrolls" fans will have to wait a little longer for the highly anticipated game "The Elder Scrolls 6" to get released. Game developer Bethesda recently revealed at Gamescom 2016 event that "The Elder Scrolls 6" is currently in pipeline but they haven't yet started developing the game.

It was Bethesda's Pete Hines, Vice President of Public Relation and Marketing, who teased about the next Elder Scrolls installment during an interview with GameStar. Hines said that Bethesda Game Studios has at least two big games lined up for release before "The Elder Scrolls 6." He added that fans should not expect the next installment of "The Elder Scrolls" franchise to make an appearance at the Gamescom event next year, nor in 2018 and that details about the game will be revealed only when it is finally ready to come out, reported Neurogadget.

Bethesda game director, Todd Howard, also teased the much awaited game during a YouTube Live interview with Geoff Keighley at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 event. "[Elder Scrolls 6 is] kind of like the elephant in the room, always, when we talk about anything," Howard explained, "and you know, I think it's good in these moments to tell our fans yes, of course we are [working on it] - it's something we love - but it is... you know, I have to be careful what I say, it's a very long way off."

"I could sit here and explain the game to you, and you would say, 'That sounds like you don't even have the technology - how long is that going to take?' And so it's something that's going to take a lot of time, what we have in mind for that game," he added, reported IGN. As far as "The Elder Scrolls 6" release date is concerned, the sixth installment of the game is most likely to come out in 2019.
