Tekken 7 Fans received mix news during the recently concluded Tokyo game show. The good news for the fans is a release date for PC and trailers release for PS4. The bad news for Tekken 7 fans is there will be no cross-platform support due to security reasons.

No Cross-Platform Play Support For Tekken 7

Cross Platform play is gaining a lot of attention from several gaming franchises. Cross Platform Gaming enables Xbox360 andPS4 gamers to compete with PC gamers in a multiplayer mode. Final Fantasy 14, Rocket league have recently added the Cross-platform play support.

But the makers of Tekken 7 believe a Cross platform play support could hinder the game. Katsuhiro Harada the project lead posted a tweet clarifying his stand. As translated by Avoiding The Puddle, the tweet said,

"It's not a matter of the technology for getting the PS4/XB1/PC players to match up against each other being the issue," he further added, "but rather first party company policies and potential security risks alongside the community perceived reputation of PC gamers being cheaters that are hindering the decision to allow cross-platform play."

It was later clarified that Harada is not calling PC gamers, cheaters. But it is the perception of console players. He was refereeing to the use of hacks by PC gamers which can give them an edge over Xbox 360 and PS4 gamers.

Trailer and Features for PS4

During the Tokyo game show, the makers also shared a trailer of Tekken 7 for PS4. Tekken 7 will see the Mishima clan have a major role in the story. As reported by Polygon the single player mode will have a one-on-one fighting mode. The storyline of Claudio Serafino is also set to be updated with the integration of the exorcist group.

There is plenty to watch out for the Tekken 7 fans. Tekken 7 is set to release on PC, XboxOne, and PS4 in early 2017.
