Tinder Introduces New Feature, Helps You Get Booty Call Faster
Tinder, a dating app that allows you to find matches for yourself just by swiping right on the profiles you are interested in, has come up with a new feature that will enable you to search for your kind of date in much lesser time.
The swipe-based app will test this paid feature named Tinder Boost in Australia where Tinderers would be able to boost their profiles which implies that the visibility of their profile in the immediate area will be hiked for 30 minutes. The profile will get 10 times more views, and hopefully more matches, the company said on Wednesday.
Users of Tinder Plus, the premium version of the app, will get one boost per week while those using the free version will be in a position to buy a boost whenever it is required.
Tinder Boost is just another way for the by and large free app to extract some money out of its users pockets. Though the price for the boost has not yet been announced nor has the timeline for when the feature will see a wider roll out been declared, the feature may grab eyeballs of the modern, impatient youth who are always on a lookout for fun and adventure.

The feature somewhat sounds like Pokemon Go's lure models where the gamers can buy or receive some lures to attract the Pokemons for a limited period of time. But the inventiveness behind this feature wasn't the game, Tinder told CNET. Tinder had launched another feature, Tinder Social, some time back that promoted the idea of group dates. The user of this feature could set their status to "Gotta catch 'em all!", thus answering the question , "What are you up to?"
Tinder isn't the first or only dating app that has added a boost feature to its phraseology. Previously, an app named Bumble where women hit on the matches first, had offered Bumble Boost. It is a paid feature as well that lets users immediately match with people who have already shown interest in their profiles by swiping right on them. It also enables the members of its network to rematch with expired connections or avail extra 24 hours before a match expires. OKCupid also promotes the user profiles in 15-minute bursts using its paid boosts.
