WhatsApp Update: WhatsApp To Debut Video Call In New App Update
Social chat platform WhatsApp newest app update will now include a video call function. This is the first time in the app's history that the messaging app features a video call function. The update was first tested in the Windows Phone version of WhatsApp and is recently made available on Android phones. However, even with the app update integration in the iOS, iPhone has not yet to use the video calling update.
WhatsApp will now have a new set of functionality in its interface, it will have the new video call button. The video call button will appear once you hit the call or phone button and the app will prompt you to choose between voice or video call.
On the other hand, only users who have the voice calling capable version of WhatsApp can avail the new video calling bonus. The version of the app that does not support voice call will not be able to use the video all function. Like any other video calling app, WhatsApp will ask you to rate the quality of their video call.
Aside from the usual functionality of the voice/video call, WhatsApp gives its users the option to mute themselves or the other person that the user is calling. Also, users have the option to switch the camera between front and rear cam. And like any other calling function, they can hang up any time they want.
The newest version of WhatsApp is now available for users via the Beta Google Play app store. Since this version of the app features a beta video call function it is not dependent on the latest version of the app, it is a server-side update that is available for it users. The video calling update of WhatsApp comes along with a few bug fixes as well.
