Skyrim: Special Edition is out on the PS4, PC, and Xbox One platforms, including support for mods. And, Bethesda has revealed the available mod list letting players try them out as soon as the game launches.

Skyrim: Special Edition Mods So Far

The mod list includes health regeneration removal, new difficulty level, turning named dogs invincible, and village expansions. If you find any of these mods worth your interest, then you can check and download them at Bethesda's official website.

A total number of 209 mods have been released as of now and you can find them all right here. Xbox One will feature the most Skyrim: Special Edition mods standing at 100 mods. And, PS4 has the least mods at 27, for now. For the ones who use a PC need not worry about Bethesda's official mod list. PC gamers already have a good idea of where to find hundreds of mods for the latest Skyrim edition.

The limit on PS4 and Xbox One mods is due to limited storage capacities in the consoles, being 1GB and 5GB, respectively. Moreover, PS4 has a restriction over it which forces it to use only in-game features. Mod creators are unable to use mod editing tools to come up with their own creations. This is due to a contract signed between Sony and Bethesda leading to providing of only official mods for Skyrim as well as Fallout 4.

Bad Luck For PS4 Users

Such restrictions have led to a lack of interest in mod developers who do not prefer a PS4 for mod development. It is still to be seen whether the commotion would cause Sony to release the restrictions on their Skyrim: Special Edition mod list so that more gamers can enjoy the game to the fullest. Let us know in the comments below about the mods that you like or love to see in the game.
