Nokia D1C Release Date, Specs, Latest News: Leaks Reveal Specs, Available In 5 & 5.5 Inch Models With 16 MP Camera

Nokia has created a new buzz in the cellphone and digital industry. Recent leaks indicate that Nokia's first Android venture will be released in 5 and 5.5 inch models. While Nokia once was one of the biggest names in the industry with remarkable sales figures, the brand name has diminished over the years. However, 2017 might be the year of its biggest comeback in the market.

In the age of Android, the Finnish phone finally announced the production of Nokia D1C. It will be the first Android powered phones coming from the Nokia brand. It was first leaked that the Nokia D1C will be an Android tablet with a 13.8 inch screen. However, a series of latest leaks have revealed that the Nokia D1C will be released in two hardware versions instead. 

The first will be a 5 inch model which will be available with a 1080p touchscreen. It will also be equipped with 2 GB RAM and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset. For the shutterbugs, there will be 13 megapixel main camera and an 8 megapixel front camera. The phone are expected to come with 16 GB of storage space with Android 7.0 Nougat running system.

The second model is rumored to come with similar hardware features but will be a bigger phone at 5.5 inches. It will sport 3GB of RAM functioning. It might also have a better battery capacity. As sources reveal, the prototype models are in the testing phase currently. There have been several speculations about their final finishing and appearance. However, GSM Arena has published the most recent renders of their appearances. 

Since there is quite some time left for its final launch, the company may alter the final Nokia D1C product. Nokia is playing it safely in this comeback by first launching mid-range phones to the market. Based on the reaction and response in the market, the Finnish company can venture into higher range models. It is speculated that Nokia is also working on its flagship range of smart tablets. The expected launch date for Nokia D1C is pegged to be in the end of February.
