Google Pixel XL Rumors, Specs, Latest News: Handset Tipped To Run Android Nougat 7.1? Appears On Geekbench Listing?

As we are getting closer to the rumored October release date of Google's highly anticipated Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, more and more rumors about Google Pixel and Pixel XL specs, features and price details are surfacing online.

According to WCCFTech, the Google Pixel XL was recently spotted on Geekbench with all the possible specs and features listed. As per the listing, the Pixel XL, codenamed "Marlin", will feature 4GB of RAM, and a quad core Qualcomm processor clocked at 1.59GHz. It still remains a mystery whether the smartphone will get Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 chipset or Snapdragon 820 chipset. The listing also mentions that Google Pixel XL will come pre-installed with Android Nougat 7.1 out-of-the-box, reported Android Headlines.

Among other specs, the Google Pixel XL is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display, 32GB and 128GB storage options, a 13-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front camera, a 3,450mAh battery, and USB Type-C port. Talking about specs and features of Pixel XL's smaller sibling, possibly dubbed Google Pixel, the handset is rumored to get a 5-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 32GB storage, 12-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel selfie camera, a fingerprint scanner at the back, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack. Both the handsets will reportedly be manufactured by Taiwan's HTC.

Interestingly, while, Google hasn't yet revealed anything about the Pixel and Pixel XL release date, specs and price details, sellers on online websites have already begun selling the front panels of the handsets. The front panels of the upcoming Google Pixel 2016 smartphones including the touchscreen have been put on sale on the Canadian eBay website by seller Oneby_tech. The designs are based on existing leaked photographs and renders of the Pixel handsets. The Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones are expected to get an October 4 release date.
