Rumors about Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) latest graphics card, dubbed Radeon RX 490 have been making rounds for quite some time now. There are several reports which claim that AMD Radeon RX 490 might get either a November release date or an early 2017 launch.

If reports are to be believed, the AMD GPU graphics card will come with powerful specs and features, even better than NVidia's GPU GTX 1080 and GTX 1070. The upcoming RX 490 is rumored to be the first AMD graphics card to feature the next generation Vega 10 architecture. AMD's Vega architecture is expected to get unveiled in the first half of 2017. The graphics card maker is reportedly going to roll out four Vega GPUs- Vega 10, Dual Vega 10, Vega 11 and Vega 20. Notably, the previous iterations of the RX family were built with the current-gen Polaris architecture.

Talking about AMD Radeon RX 490 rumored specs, the upcoming graphics card is expected to feature 9,830 GFLOPS of computing power with a base clock of 1200 MHz. A report coming from Video Cardz claims that the graphics card will feature a dual-GPU system, a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 interface, a 16384 MB memory size,  a memory bandwidth of 716.8 GB/s along with a thermal power of 200 W. Additionally, the RX 490 is rumored to support 4K and VR gaming.

As far as pricing is concerned, the AMD Radeon RX 490 is expected to come with a price tag which is either equal to or lower than NVidia's GTX 1080, which currently sells for $699.99.

While, some reports suggest that AMD might release Radeon RX 490 in November 2016, others claim that the use of Vega 10 architecture might delay Radeon RX 490 release date to early 2017. We advise out readers to take the information with a big grain of salt as nothing yet has been announced by the makers.
