Porsche is ready to face its competitor Jaguar through the Porsche Macan 2.0-liter petrol variant. The competitive approach is against the Jaguar F-Pace which launched yesterday. The idea behind a 2.0-liter variant came up due to the low customs duties in Asian countries like India where an engine capacity of 2.0 liter is applicable.

According to AutoCarIndia, a number of dealers have already started booking the Macan R4 2.0 petrol with an initial amount of 10, 00,000 INR. The full price of the vehicle is set at 76, 16,000 INR. And, reports from OverDrive say that deliveries are being expected from November onwards.

The Porsche Macan R4 2.0 Petrol with its 252hp engine will compete against the Jaguar F-Pace's 240hp engine body. But, Jaguar is planning to launch the F-Pace model in Q1 2017. This will give Porsche an early opportunity to increase its sales as much as possible. Petrol SUVs in countries like India are in demand and with the addition of these variants, high-end cars might move in production. The Jaguar F-Pace will be launched with 2- liter and 3-liter diesel models.

According to reports, the Porsche Macan R4 2.0 petrol produces claims of 0-60mph in 6.7 seconds. And, the top claimed speed is at 143mph. The vehicle also gets an intuitive design with an all-wheel-drive. Besides, that vehicle will also come with Porsche's official seven-speed PDK auto transmission gearbox. There is also an inclusion of standard air suspension by Porsche which includes Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) technology. This will enable it to have a more agility than the Porsche Macan R4 UK variant.

A revamped new 7-inch touch display infotainment system is also added by the company to the Indian variant. This variant with a 2.0-liter petrol tank is the third to come up for sales. The other two being Macan S diesel with its 244hp engine and the Macan Turbo petrol with the 400hp engine variation.
